What about compatibility? The ViKing Titanium Chain is compatible with 7 and 8 speed indexing derailleur systems from Campagnolo, Sachs, Shimano, and Sun Tour.

Is it strong enough to last? Our chain meets the strength criteria of CPSC (USA), DIN (Germany), and JIS (Japan) standards and its durability is comparable to that of professional quality steel chains.

Do I need any special tools? Standard rivet tools (Examples: Cyclo Rivoli Model CYC 1001 or Park Tool Co. Model CT-3) may be used to open and close the chain. No special pins are required.

How much weight do I save? The ViKing Titanium Chain weighs only 229 grams for 108 links. The chain is approximately 1/3 lighter than popular steel chains.

Is the chain pre-lubed? All chains are factory lubricated with Pedro's Road Lube.

I heard there were problems with DuraAce derailleurs! Some Shimano DuraAce rear derailleurs have outer cage plates which may get in the way of the ViKing chain. We include a couple of spacers which fit between the jockey wheels and the outer cage plate to eliminate this problem.

Is it for road racers or mountain bikers? The ViKing Chain is suitable for both road and off-road use.
